HAMILTON, Texas (KWTX) A Holland man who expected to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex Thursday ended up in custody instead, the latest suspect to be snared in an online child sex sting in Hamilton County.

Paul Anthony Spinn, 28, was arrested just before noon Thursday in Hamilton.

He faces an online solicitation of a minor charge.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, from April 2 through Thursday, Spinn communicated through the Skout smartphone app with Hamilton County Sheriff Justin Caraway, who was posing as a 15-year-old girl known as “Mel Dub.”

During the chats, Spinn sent five explicit photographs and one explicit video, the affidavit says.

On Thursday Spinn agreed to drive to Hamilton, where he was pulled over just before noon at the intersection of East Leslie Street and South Manning Street.

“Paul confirmed he was the individual who sent the text messages agreeing to travel to Hamilton, Texas to engage in sexual intercourse with the 15 year old female,” the affidavit said.
