Temple, Texas After being open for six months the Central Texas School for the Performing Arts in Temple is closing its doors, effective immediately. In a written statement School Founder & Director, Daniel Bodhi Chapin, noted ongoing financial trouble and "Directional Differences," as the main reason for the schools closure.
Chapin went on to say that Bell County “proved over the last 6 months to be a non-viable community for this type of program. People simply are not dedicated enough or able to help support such a training program.”
Chapin declined an interview, but he told KWTX that he is heartbroken about the closing of a school that had a lot of promise. The school will release more information on the closing in the next few days.
