KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A Killeen man who is accused, along with his wife, of producing child pornography was ordered held without bond Tuesday in federal magistrate's court.

Federal magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske ordered Christopher Almaguer to remain in custody without bond after he was charged with coercing a minor "to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct, and such visual depiction was produced."

Manske also appointed local attorney Robert Stem, Jr., to represent Almaguer.

Manske ordered Almaguer's wife Sarah Rashelle Almaguer, 26, just last Wednesday to remain in federal custody without bond pending more court appearances on an identical charge, federal court records showed.

The couple has five children.

The court documents do not mention the status or ages of the children.

Complaints filed in both cases show U.S. Secret Service agents began investigating Feb. 21 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the Texas Attorney General's Child Exploitation Unit about a Cyber Tipline report the national center generated based upon a report provided by Facebook.

"Facebook.com reported a user for uploading suspected images and videos containing child pornography," the complaint said.

On Feb. 26, attorney general's office agents armed with a federal search warrant showed up at 1101 North 4th St. in Killeen to search for evidence of child porn, the complaints say, and as they were entering the home, the saw Christopher and Sarah Almaguer walking toward the residence.

Sarah Almaguer was arrested then and agents served the warrant, which allowed them to seize a cellular telephone that was in the woman's possession.

"On March 2, 2018, (agents) reviewed the Forensic Extraction Report on the (seized) … cell phone. Contained in the 'Video' folder of the report are numerous videos containing child pornography," the complaint says.

Additionally, the CPS investigator stated neither Sarah nor Chris has a vehicle and neither is employed.
