SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KWTX) Charges are pending against a Texas woman who was spotted walking a white-tailed fawn on a leash, the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife says.
A Bexar County game warden was called by Alamo security about the woman and when the warden arrived, she learned that the woman had picked up the fawn from a roadside, the department said.
The woman told the warden she went to the Alamo to take Fourth of July family photos.
“The game warden tried to explain the state law forbidding possession of game animals, but she would not listen and became very upset,” the department said.
The game warden seized the fawn, which was taken to a licensed rehabilitator.
