Child Exploitation Unit arrests Navarro County man

AUSTIN, Texas (Attorney General Ken Paxton News Release) A 29-year-old Navarro County man is facing multiple charges for possession of child pornography.

Michael Allen Carter, of Rice, faces up to 50-years in prison if convicted on all five felony charges.

Following a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, investigators through the Texas Attorney General's Office, executed a search warrant at Carter’s home, where child pornography was found on a digital storage device.

Investigators also seized additional digital storage devices that will be examined by the attorney general’s digital forensics unit.

During an interview, Carter admitted to operating the account reported, but declined to answer any additional questions. Carter was taken to the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office.
