COLUMBIA, S.C. (Gray DC) - The endorsement that really counts will come from South Carolina voters. They’re notorious for picking the candidate who will become the party’s nominee. Ahead of the first in the South primary, lawmakers across the state worked to sway voters. Here’s a look at some of the biggest endorsements.

-South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and Senator Tim Scott are endorsing Marco Rubio. It’s a team the Rubio campaign is calling the New American Century.

-Former Presidential candidate and Senior Senator Lindsay Graham is backing Jeb Bush

-Frontrunner Donald Trump has the support of Lieutenant Governor Henry McMaster

-Congressmen Jeff Duncan and Mark Sanford are backing Ted Cruz for president

-‘The State’ newspaper editorial board endorsed John Kasich
