KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A former teacher at Ellison High School in Killeen is named in an indictment charging improper relationship between educator and student.

The Bell County Grand Jury handed up the indictment Wednesday against Raymond Daniel Huckabee, who now lives in Georgetown, in connection with an incident that was reported in 2014, police records showed.

Huckabee was arrested in Georgetown back in July but posted a $75,000 bond and was released from custody in the Williamson County Jail, online jail records showed.

Huckabee, 39, was removed from the classroom after the school district investigated the matter following a report from police and he was terminated by the district on June 6, 2014.

At the time of his dismissal he had been with the district less than a year.

During the district’s investigation a box of condoms was found in Huckabee’s classroom desk, an affidavit issued in connection to the case said.

The victim, who was younger than 17-years-old at the time of the encounter, told police she had sex with a teacher in May 2014.

Bell County court records show he has an arraignment set for Oct.14.
