Firefighters rescue driver after SUV veers off Highway 6

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) Firefighters rescued a driver whose SUV veered off Highway 6 Wednesday night and ended up in a creek beneath an overpass.

South Brazos County firefighters responded to the accident at around 10 p.m. Wednesday south of the Millican exit.

A state trooper told KBTX-TV in Bryan that the SUV left the highway and came to rest in Jones Creek beneath the overpass bridge.

Firefighters rescued the driver, who was taken to a College Station hospital.
