WACO, Texas (KWTX) Waco's Chip and Joanna Gaines announced they are expecting baby number five Tuesday.
The HGTV stars made the announcement on social media.
"You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco. And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant. And I could not be more EXCITED! #5 #7ThePerfectNumber," Chip Tweeted.
The "Fixer Upper" stars even posted a photo on Instagram of Joanna's baby bump.
"Gaines party of 7.. (If you’re still confused.. WE ARE PREGNANT)," Chip posted on his Instagram.
It's unknown how far along the 39-year-old mother of four is in the pregnancy.
Tuesday's announcement may be a theme for the "Fixer Upper" family: the show's executive producer, Michael Matsumoto, surprised Chip and Joanna on the season four finale with the news that he and his wife had twins on the way.
"People always ask me what My favorite moment has been with Chip and Jo while working with them on "Fixer Upper," and I think it has to be the moment that I managed to surprise them with the fact that Jessie and I were having twins," Matsumoto told KWTX.
He had a message for the couple following their own pregnancy 'reveal.'
"There is no better feeling than being surrounded by those you love, and I am so excited to hear that their family is growing. There is so much love in their family and they are already amazing parents to four wonderful children. They are role models we should all strive to be. What better adventure than to chase the American dream surrounded by all your babies. Congrats my friends. I love you."
Local artisans featured on the show also had a message for the expecting couple including 'Joanna's wood guy' Clint Harp and his wife Kelly, and metal master Jimmy Don Holmes and his wife Lori.
"Since we met the Gaines almost six years ago, it's been so evident how important family is to them," Harp told KWTX. "We're so pumped and excited for our friends and their growing family!!!"
"We are very excited about the news...can't wait to meet this baby," said Holmes.
"Fixer Upper" is currently airing it's fifth, and final season.
Rumors about the possibility of a growing family were fueled by the couple's decision this fall to leave the popular show, citing the importance of focusing on family.
A spokesperson for the Gaines' declined to comment Tuesday night.
