Austin, TEXAS (KWTX) - Former Heisman trophy winner and Texas Longhorn Ricky Williams was arrested Tuesday night and spent the evening in the Travis County jail, according to reports.
Austin Police say he was pulled over around 10:30 p.m. for a traffic stop.
They say his car was missing a rear license plate.
During the stop, police discovered Williams had a pair of outstanding traffic tickets and he was taken to jail.
The 40-year old, former No. 5 overall NFL draft pick, paid a fine and was released at 2 p.m. yesterday.
