Kendall and John Gomber have visited every national park in the U.S., six of the seven continents, and most recently summited Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

The couple first met at the U.S. Military Academy, and started dating once they both graduated.

Their travels started with their first national park visit in 2012.

"We had such a wonderful weekend that we just kept going,” Kendall said.

Kendall and John were married in 2015, and continued their goal of visiting all 59 national parks.

"Really the goal was to see the United States and spend time with my favorite person in the world,” John said.

The couple says besides the breathtaking views, experiencing them together has been their favorite part of traveling.

“It’s been spectacular, you get excited to see things for yourself, but also to see the person that you love the most get excited about seeing different things and having different experiences, just takes it to a whole new level,” Kendall said.

Outside of their travels, Kendall and John are both Army captains.

"I think one of our ways that we kind of get through really long periods is starting to plan our next adventure together,” Kendall said.

The couple hopes their next adventure brings them to the one continent they haven’t visited yet: Antarctica.

They said their love for travel has further strengthened their marriage.

"I feel as though our relationship has matured a lot, just based on the fact that we've gone through hardships together, we've had situations where we're like, OK, we got to put our minds together and work together as a team, which, that's what marriage is all about,” John said.
