Good News Friday 6/23/17

Congratulations to Dr. Carol Crawford Holcomb for being awarded the Baptist History and Heritage Society's W.O Carver distinguished service award.

Travis is a 19 year old who works at Woodway HEB. He was cashiering when an 86 year old man went in trying to buy groceries. The man's card was declined because it had been compromised. That's when Travis pulled out his wallet and paid for the man's groceries.

The Mexia High School student in gearup spent all last week in Washington DC. They want to thank Tracy Keele of Region 12 for sponsoring their trip.

Belton High School sent two teams to Louisville Kentucky for the 2017 Skills USA National Leadership Conference. The Team-Work Team and the Business Procedures Team.

And good news for the Goodwin family.. Garth Goodwin, the paralyzed firefighter is now home from the hospital. He was released Wednesday and the community is still working to build him a wheel chair accessible house. They're in need of lumber if you can help.
