COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KWTX) Two horses that College Station firefighters rescued from floodwaters from Hurricane Harvey were sold Tuesday to the Palmer-based Rockin’ R. Rescues center.

The rescue center paid a total of $3,600 for the two horses, which were rescued from high water on Aug. 27 near State Highway 6 and University Drive in College Station.

The horses survived the ordeal with minor abrasions.

The proceeds from the sale will be held in escrow for an unspecified period of time in the event the owner does come forward.
