Killeen: Former council candidate arrested during workshop meeting

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A woman who ran for Killeen City Council was arrested, accused of disrupting a workshop meeting Tuesday.

Killeen police said Melissa Brown became disruptive and was asked to leave by Mayor Jose Segarra.

The entire interaction was captured on a Facebook Live video.

When she refused, officers arrested her and took her to the Killeen City Jail.

Brown was charged with disrupting a meeting or procession and later released.
