In the last two weeks, Froyd and Javier Melendez have been collecting supplies such as canned food, water bottles, and flashlights at their family business.

The Melendez family has partnered up with from Georgetown to help send the supplies to Puerto Rico.

The family is one of many who has little to no contact with their loved since the storm.

“They are trying to find the basic stuff they need and with the poor communication on the island right now,” says Javier Melendez. “We’ve been able to speak to a few members of our families and what we heard from them- really breaks our hearts.”

His brother, Froyd Melendez says, “The struggle in Puerto Rico is very bad. To see how the island was so perfect and nice. Now it's on a critical stage.”

If you would like to donate supplies, you can stop by the business on 810 N. W.S Young Dr. in Killeen.
