Gage Brady, 21, was last seen in Norfolk on June 11 when he was reported missing, local police said.

Assistant administrator Marsha Worthington confirmed Brady graduated from Gatesville High School in 2015 and was a member of the school’s one-act play group.

His cell phone was found outside a convenience store near the Marine base, a missing persons poster issued by police says.

NCIS and the Norfolk Police Department were investigating the disappearance according to NCIS, but a telephone call to Norfolk police revealed the Navy’s NCIS office in Norfolk is lead agency in the search and investigation.

When Norfolk Police called Brady's cell phone an unknown man answered and said he had found the phone outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Ocean View area of Norfolk but it was never determined which one.

There is no information at this time to suggest any harm has come to Brady.

His debit card had been used at an ATM, gas station and Walmart in Kentucky and a gas station and McDonald's in Missouri.

NCIS is working with the Moorehead, Ky., police, St. Louis, Mo.,police, Boonville County, Mo., police and other law enforcement agencies to identify who used the card.
