WACO, Texas (KWTX) A crew struck a natural gas line Tuesday morning on the Baylor campus, closing down the normally busy parking garage at Dutton Avenue and University Parks Drive.

The break was repaired and the garage was reopened just before noon.

The line break was reported just before 10:30 a.m.

A contractor was installing a concrete structure and hit a two-inch gas line.

Baylor police evacuated the garage and two offices that it houses, ITF and a counseling center.

Officials described the evacuation as precautionary.
