BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Another charge has been tacked on for a man already in jail who's accused of endangering a child and urinating and damaging a Bellmead Police vehicle.

James Marvine Fairl, 27, was charged with sexual assault Thursday.

His bond was set at $200,00 for the sexual assault charge, but he remains jailed on bonds totaling $220,000.

Fairl was already booked into the McLennan County Jail on charges of endangering a child, harassment of a public servant, and resisting transport on July 8.

On July 7, officers were called to the 1500 block of Cloverleaf Street after a neighbor reported seeing an intoxicated man riding a bicycle with a child.

Upon arrival, the officer observed Fairl in a ditch with a forty-ounce beer and a nine-year-old boy playing in the street.

Police believe Fairl placed his nephew at risk of injury due to his inability to sufficiently care for the child.

Fairl was placed into a police car and taken into custody, but then became belligerent, according to the officer.

He began to kick the windows and was warned that his legs would be restrained.

When the officer went to restrain his legs, Fairl began yelling that he was urinating in the unit. Fairl began to further kick the back seat camera.

While being placed in another unit, he resisted, and caused an officer to fall to the ground.

The officer was not injured.
