One person injured in shooting after argument

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) One person is hurt following a shooting at an apartment complex.

It happened around 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the Casa Arroya Apartments on West Avenue J and Wolf Street in Killeen.

Killeen police say two men were arguing at the apartments moments before the shooting happened.

The victim was shot multiple times in the chest and was flown from the scene in critical condition to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

The suspect escaped in a gray or silver Chrysler 300 or similar style vehicle.

Police described the suspect as a man with a thin build who is around 6 feet tall, with short hair and some facial hair.

It's not clear if the shooter or the victim live at the Casa Arroya Apartments.

At least four police cruisers were on scene and had blocked off parts of the road near the incident.

The Killeen police department violent crime detectives were there and taping off much of the apartment complex to begin their investigation.

The victim's name was not released.
