WACO, Texas (KWTX) Police fanned out early Tuesday afternoon near Ridgewood Country Club in Waco in search of two teenage suspects in what evidently was a home burglary.
Officers were initially sent to a home in the 2500 block of Skyline Drive after the resident called to report that a live feed from a surveillance camera showed four people in the backyard.
The resident also called a neighbor, who was able to prevent the four suspects from getting back into their vehicle to escape.
Instead, the four ran into a wooded area.
Officers captured two of them, Michael Guerra and a teenage boy whose name was not released, on Hillandale Road across North Valley Mills Drive from the neighborhood.
Police were unable to locate the other two suspects who witnesses said ran across the golf course at the country club.
The two have been identified, however, and additional charges are pending, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said late Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle the four abandoned was processed and stolen property was found inside of it, Swanton said.
Police discovered that a home in the 2100 block of Hermanson Drive had been burglarized as well, Swanton said.
The homeowner on Skyline had just installed the security camera system, police said.
