Police make arrest in string of local car break-ins

BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Bellmead police have made an arrest in a string of car break-ins.

Alfredo Dylan Perez, 21, of Bellmead, was named in warrants charging two counts of credit card abuse and two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle stemming from two burglaries and the use of stolen credit cards to make purchases at local businesses.

He was arrested Tuesday in the 500 block of Maxfield Street

Authorities recovered property stolen in the break-ins as well as some of the victims’ personal identification.

Additional charges are pending in connection with other burglaries, police said Wednesday.

Perez remained in the McLennan County Jail Wednesday.

Bond had not been set late Wednesday morning.
