Restaurant Report Card for week of March 1

(KWTX) Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Waco made an 87 on their most recent inspection.

The big problem was that the dishwasher wasn't sanitizing the dishes so the employees had to do them by hand.

Food in the fridge was not labeled and the soda nozzles in the bar area need to be cleaned.

They were able to get everything repaired in one day.

A year ago we told you about Nami Japanese Steakhouse #3 in Killeen.

Back then they made an 83 and had to throw away food and fix their dishwasher.

Since then they've raised their score to a 92.

This time the inspector found mold in the ice machine and on the shelves in the cooler and no soap in one of the restrooms.

At the McLennan County Jail several containers and utensils were stored with old food particles still on them.

In the walk-in freezer, condensation was dripping onto open chicken. In the cooler multiple items were not dated and black mold was on the ceiling close to the dishwasher room.

A week later they had corrected the problems.

This week's Clean Plate award goes to Arepitas in Harker Heights.

The Venezuelan inspired restaurant promises an explosion of flavors in each dish. People we spoke with said you have to try the sweet plantains.
