(KWTX) The Taqueria El Mexicano Grill on North 19th street in Waco made a 77 in an inspection earlier this month.

The Taqueria El Mexicano Grill on North 19th Street in Waco was inspected earlier this month.

They made a 77; several containers in the fridge were from October, meat was thawing in the sink and multiple items were not labeled.

A week later all of the violations were corrected.

The Bell County Health Department shut down the Church's chicken on East Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen after several violations were left uncorrected for over 2 weeks.

They had dirty coolers, build up on the soda spigots, gnats flying near the sink, oil residue and no one was checking deliveries.

The inspector said the facility was filthy and posed a threat to public health.

They were allowed to reopen five days later and will have random drop in inspections until further notice.

The Taco Casa in Hewitt makes a 90.

Tomatoes and cheese were not being kept at the proper temperatures and there was a chemical bottle left on the prep table.

They also have a few employees who need to get their food server certificates.

Two days later inspectors went back and they made a 99.

This week's clean plate award this week goes to Pizza Palace on West Veterans Memorial drive in Killeen.

They're famous for their Chicago style pizza and lunch buffet.
