The $25,000 grant will cover of the cost of planting rose bushes and shrubs in the center courtyard and will pay for a Dedication Garden outside of the building that will have the names of veterans who have passed away at the home.

Tyler Toppenberg says he's honored to do this project for the veterans at the home.

“It's a very wholesome experience and it's an opportunity that I feel we can give back as a community to those that are given so much for us and dedicated their lives for our freedoms,” Toppenberg said.

The Lowe’s crew says all of the work should be done by the end of the day.
