WACO, Texas (KWTX) For the third time in one year, a local criminal is back in jail, this time with nine new charges.
Terry Lynn Thompson, 32, is charged with five felonies and four misdemeanors including evading arrest with priors, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, two probation violations, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He remained in custody at the McLennan County Jail Friday night in lieu of bonds totaling $300,000.
Thompson’s capture on July 9 was number three for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office’s Fugitive Apprehension and Special Task (FAST) unit within a year’s time.
“He had meth on him each time,” said Parnell McNamara, Sheriff of McLennan County.
McNamara said Thompson ran from FAST unit deputies on Wooded Acres Drive and Bishop Drive and was chased down on foot a few blocks away.
