WACO, Texas (KWTX) A Waco woman accused of running an illegal gambling operation is free on bond after she was arrested and charged with keeping a gambling place.

Michele Lee Ikreiwish, 25, was arrested Monday and was later released from the McLennan County Jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

The arrest stems from an investigation into the use of eight-liner machines and allegations of illegal cash payouts at Shisa Smoke Shop and Game Room in the 600 block of North Valley Mills Drive, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

“We are continuing our illegal gambling shut down efforts and additional arrests will be forthcoming from other illegal gambling operations,” Swanton told KWTX Tuesday.

In May, Waco police arrested two men and seized more than a dozen eight-liners after raiding the Rio Grande Resale Grocery Tobacco and Gift in the 900 block of North 25th Street as part of the department’s crackdown on illegal gambling operations.
