WACO, Texas (KWTX) A native Central Texan who made it the National Football League has not forgotten where he came from.

Orion Stewart returned Wednesday to the same Waco Boys and Girls Club he attended as a child.

He is now a member of the Washington Redskins.

“The kids are doing is just the same, I’m pretty sure, the same, stuff we were doing. So it’s just kind of surreal — getting to this point especially at the level I am at — to be able to give back to give to my community like this,” he said

He talked to the club members about being successful on the field and in the classroom as well the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Stewart graduated from Midway High School before playing football at Baylor University.
