Water heater possible cause for house fire in Belton

BELTON, Texas (KWTX) A family wakes up to a fire Wednesday afternoon on 3600 Setter Drive in Belton.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 1 p.m. when the homeowner told officials they heard a loud pop.

Officials believe the blaze may have started after a water heater caught on fire.

They say the home is a total loss.

Central Bell, Salado and Belton firefighters responded to the fire and were on the scene.

They say no one was injured in this incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
