(KWTX) Texas country music legend Willie Nelson has canceled his February tour dates as he recovers from the flu, according to a press release from a representative first reported by Variety.

Nelson, 84, canceled his January concerts after he became short of breath at the start of a show early in the month in California.

In August 2017, he was hospitalized briefly with respiratory problems in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The press release said Nelson “is up and about and looks as healthy as ever,” but says his doctor determined he needs more time to recuperate.

Nelson is expected to resume his tour in early March.

His February dates included concerts in Macon, Ga., Biloxi, Miss., Panama City, Fla., Estero, Fla., Pompano Beach, Fla., Clearwater, Fla., Cocoa, Fla., and St. Augustine, Fla.
