WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX) A Waco man was arrested Thursday in Woodway after police obtained an arrest warrant charging continuous sexual abuse of a young child.

Dung Van Nguyen, 52, was booked into the McLennan County Jail Thursday where he was ordered held on a $100,000 bond.

A news release issued Friday by Woodway police said Nguyen was arrested after a child, younger than 14 made an outcry on May 6, Yost Zakhary, Woodway Department of Public Safety chief said.

Friday, a local salon posted on social media about the suspect. Posh Spa & Lounge posted on Facebook that Dung Nguyen, also known as Dennis, was an employee, and that they were aware of his charges.

The salon wrote in part,"We believe in the ideal of "innocent until proven guilty." However, we pride ourselves in running our business as a safe space for our clients to relax and unwind, and we do not wish to make a single guest feel unsafe or uncomfortable in our space. For these reasons, Dennis is no longer employed at Posh."

Through a forensic interview investigators learned the child and the suspect were acquainted and that the abuse happened several times between 2013 and 2015 at a residence in Woodway.
