2-A-DAYS: Troy smaller and faster

TROY, Texas The Troy Trojans are hoping to go back to the postseason in 2017. If they make it, they'll do so by playing well in a tough district for the second straight season.

Troy won five games last year but three of those came in district play. That was good enough for a fourth place finish and a playoff berth. Now, the Trojans want to be even better.

Troy has some holes to fill up front. They lost a good group to graduation and filling those spots will be a key heading into the season. The Trojans will be smaller. Ronnie Porter says he believes they're also faster this season. So they will try to out run teams instead of running over them.

Troy will again be challenged both in the preseason and in district play, and they want to be playing well by the time that district schedule begins.
