Astros heading home after split in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, California The Houston Astros have taken home field advantage in the World Series, and they did it with a thrilling game 2 win in extra innings Wednesday night.

The Astros were on the verge of losing both games in Los Angeles before some late inning and extra inning heroics from their offense. The Astros scored a run in the 8th inning to cut the Dodgers' lead to 1. Then Marwin Gonzalez tied the game in the 9th with a solo home run.

The Astros scored twice in the 10th inning, and then the Dodgers responded with two runs of their own to send the game to the 11th inning.
George Springer hit an 11th inning home run that turned out to be the game winner for the Astros who win game 2 7-6 to even the series at a win apiece.

The series now shifts to Houston and Minute Maid Park for games 3,4, and 5 this weekend. The Astros can win the World Series if they win all three games on their home field.
