Baylor's Maston out at least four weeks with broken hand

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor senior forward Terry Maston is expected to be out until at least the start of Big 12 action after suffering a broken hand in the Bears' 76-63 loss to Xavier Tuesday night.

With about 13 minutes left in the second half, Maston appeared to jam his hand into the back of an Xavier defender going up for a rebound. He temporarily stayed in the game but was eventually taken out.

Maston finished the game with a team-high 15 points, and has been the most reliable scorer off the already-thin bench for head coach Scott Drew.

Until Tyson Jolly returns from his medical absence, Baylor will have just seven scholarship players available when the Bears host No. 8 Wichita State Saturday.
