Chilton hoping to build on solid start

CHILTON, Texas The Chilton Pirates are off to a solid start this year, a start that could be made much better if they beat Normangee on Friday.

Chilton beat Granger in week one, then fell in a tough game to Rosebud-Lott in week 2. Now they take the field against Normangee on Friday night, a team that came into the year as a District title favorite.

Normangee features a lot of team speed and playmakers offensively. So the Pirates want to run at them and attack them up the middle. Jullian Keggins also says his team will need to make a lot of open field tackles if the Pirates are going to win.
