Lady Bears coming off bye to visit Oklahoma

WACO, Texas The Baylor Lady Bears haven't played a game this week, but that changes Sunday when they come off their bye to face Oklahoma in Norman.

Baylor is unbeaten in Big 12 play and going to Oklahoma will challenge that good start. The Lady Sooners are scoring a lot of points again this season. Not as many as the Lady Bears who lead the nation in scoring, but they aren't far behind Baylor.

So defense is a key to winning on Sunday. Senior guard Kristy Wallace says the Lady Bears have to stop dribble penetration and keep Oklahoma from getting hot behind the 3-point line early in the game.

Kim Mulkey has a team that's leading the nation in defensive field goal percentage and she says that defensive effort has to be there on Sunday against the Lady Sooners.
