Mavericks trade for Doug McDermott at trade deadline

DALLAS, Texas The Dallas Mavericks were active at the trade deadline Thursday and made a move to acquire Doug McDermott.

The Mavericks were part of a three team deal that brings McDermott to Dallas. McDermott is in his fourth season. He's played for Chicago, Oklahoma City, and the Knicks averaging 7 points per game during his four seasons.

In the deal the Mavericks are giving up Devin Harris who said an emotional goodbye to his teammates and coaches at Thursday's workout. Harris goes to Denver in the deal. The Nuggets are sending Emmaunuel Mudiay to the Knicks in the deal. There are also a couple of second round draft picks moving around as well.
