I think this is such a sensitive issue and people that don't know the details of the case should keep their comments discreet. For a woman to make a report like this with nothing to gain but humiliation, takes alot from her. If he is guilty, then he will pay for it in time. Whether WE believe she was victamized, doesn't matter. What matters is that she felt that way. If she lied, then she will pay for it when the time comes. I just ask that people be respectful to both parties.

Twenty years ago, a massage therapist was FINALLY brought to trial in Waco....after numerous complaints, with over 200 who could have been called to witness against him. He was acquitted--6=6--in a travesty of "justice", which is what this appears to be....since the man confessed. No medical technician needs to touch a woman's nipples. No medical technican who touches a woman's nipples needs to be a medical technician. Sexual abusers abuse repeatedly, and I will guarantee you there were others who did not come forward. If he touched this woman inappropriately....and his touch was, by his own admission of guilt, inappropriate....his "career" deserved ruination. I know there are times when accusations are unjust, but this does not appear to be a misrepresentation. You have no comprehension what it required of this woman to make this complaint. Sexual abusers don't abuse "just once". The never stop....for their lifetimes. If it was YOUR daughter, wife, girlfriend? How'd U feel?

How can something so blantantly false land a good man in trouble. I wish the man well and the woman making false acusations should end up on jail for a long time. I hope he sues her and ends up with everything she owns.

This man's career has all but been ruined because of these accusations and the trial. I am pleased that the jury saw this for what it was and found him not guilty. Why don't we all move on and stop the tongue wagging about this. Let this man move on and find a life also!

If you feel you are being touched inappropriately, chances are you're probably right. Something like this is very hard to prove in court, especially if the allegations are against a health care giver because it's very easy to manipulate what they are doing as medically evaluating or assessing. I believe the allegation here refers to him fondling her nipples, I don't really know why he would have to touch her nipples unless they were falling off. I don't know if this man is guilty or innocent all I know is I personally would be able to know if what my health care provider was doing was inappropriate or unnecessary.....wouldn't you?

To Gary: re:"show me ANY word that I've failed to spell correctly". If you meant someone was carrying something that was ended, you didn't mispell anything; however, I think you meant "career" instead of "carrier".

There are 3 sides to the story, hers, his and the truth. The man confessed because he was forced to. He did his job because it is what he is trained to do. The girl could have suspected "fondeling", but all he did was his job. It is very easy for someone to feel like they were fondeled or what have you when we are doing our jobs, because of the assessments that we have to do. Any EMT will tell you that they are supposed to expose and palpate for injuries when trauma happens. That is what we are taught. Everybody needs to remember that they were not in the back of that ambulance when whatever happened. Everybody makes it sound like they were there. You weren't. Go buy any EMT course book and anyone of them will tell you to expose and palpate for injuries. What is wrong with doing his job and helping this girl? It has been addressed that he used 2 fingers, not his whole hand, so he couldn't have "cupped" her breast. Maybe he accidentally brushed her nipple, who knows. Be careful

Anonymous... I could continue this debate but it would never end. We each have our own beliefs on what happened and and we are allowed that by our laws (for now, anyway). This is the last time I will respond to you because Kasey Calvery was tried in a court of law, and, to be honest, the DA actually appeared to be very knowledgable and on his toes as he presented the states evidence. His closing arguments were especially strong. However, HE did advice the jury to base their decision on the evidence presented on the witness stand and not on his or the defense's opening or closing arguments. The jury found Mr. Calvery NOT GUILTY. Case closed, Praise God! As far as his touching her nipple area, that is her word against his, enough said. As to your last comment, when laying down, as you would be on a stretcher,if you palpate on either side of your sternam you WILL feel your ribs whether you are a man or a heavily endowed woman.

Normally Charlene it's the lateral part of the rib that is broken and not the medial part which is attached to the sternum. So, since you have been using your vast knowledge for 16 years, please explain why it was necessary for the nipple to be touched? Also, were there not several people that said it was not necessary to remove her bra. In fact, one of those people happened to be a doctor who has worked in the emergency room for years. I think he would be more knowledgeable than a paramedic, you, or I. Please keep an open mind to other facts instead of being so bent on the fact that he did nothing wrong. The comment stating that it would be virtually impossible to examine the area without feeling through the fatty tissue sounds to me like your saying that if you feel through the breast you can feel ribs....I've never hear of that being possible.

Anonymous, thank you. Yes, I did hear the defense's expert witness talk about not touching the fatty tissue of the breast. I agree that the fatty tissue of the breast should not be groped but touching it is imperative in order to assess if the ribs or pectoral muscles have been injured. I believe it was a fault of the defense for not questioning this witness more in depth on that very subject. I am a massage therapist and have studied anatomy and put those studies to use for 16 years. Both the ribs and the pectoral muscles lie underneath a portion of the breast tissue, especially if the person has larger breasts. It is virtually impossible to examine that area without feeling "through" the fatty breast tissue.

Hey Charlene, glad that you feel great about yourself because you used your name. I guess you seem to forget the part where the defense called their expert witness to the stand and he himself said that you do not touch the "fatty tissue" of a woman when doing the assement which in turn is her breast. So does it really matter how he touched them? The fact is that he still did it and he didn't need to, so think about that for a moment since you seem to know everything!
