Police: Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of Teenage Boy Is HIV Positive
An upgraded charge has been filed against a 26-year-old Central Texas man who was arrested in incidents involving a teenage boy he met through an adult-oriented Web site and who police now say is HIV positive.

As a mother I'd like to know where was this boys'MOTHER? How is it that he was not only able to spent time in an Adult only site, but also be unattended long enough to be having sex with an Adult while protraying himself as an Adult. She should becharged with child endangerment!Had this"child"not put himself in an ADULT world he would not be facing ADULT consequences for his actions.I would bet that was not the first Adult he had been with sexually off that site or others. Where were his parents and why are they just NOW being active in what is going on in his sex life, it OBVIOUSLY WASN"T IMPORTANT BEFORE OR THIS WOULD NOT BE GOING ON!This is not to say that "Chris" is not wrong,HE IS! BUT let's not forget that this man's life AT 26 YEARS OLD is ALSO OVER! For a mistake that could have been prevented had this"child"not been there in the first place! BUt he should have gone to a site catered to HIV positive clients....now 2 lives are impacted,for lack of parental supervison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how did the child find out Chris was HIV positive? and why was this child on an adult dating site? yes Chris was wrong for not telling this child he was HIV . the child is also wrong for being on an adult dating site looking for dates but also for lying about his age why isn't he being chraged with anything?

im sorry about wut happend to ur son ive seen it happen to at least 2 friends where the person didnt tell them they where hiv positive if theres any way i can help just ask me

I cannot believe any of you people would actually accuse the VICTIM in this case!! How dare you people make such accusations and not know the full extent of the case! This CHILD is a minor. I would be willing to guess that we are not being told the full case because certain facts have to be left out (especially since its an ongoing investigation). I am sure that if we all knew the full facts of the case we would see how this guy really should be hung up by his **. For ANYONE to accuse the victim of any wrong doing at this point is flat out out of line!! We were all 16 at one time and we ALL did stupid things, but the only difference is this poor child's misdeeds were flashed across the evening news and he could die from it. Have some decency you blood thirsty house wives who have nothing better to do than sit at home and read of other peoples misfortunes and blatantly disregard your own child's problems!!!

No one has any idea what you go through. How many of you have had this happen to you? Exactly, try putting yourself in a situation where nothing ws supposed to happen at all and the net thing yuou know you are stuck and scared out of your dang mind wanting to just go home. Oh, btw the site was for 17 and older and it was shy of the 17th birthday by a few days.Doing whatever could be done just to go home, now school, work, etc everything is difficult, everyone talks but let this happen to you. See how many of you will take back some this and be angry that people are bashing you for getting scared, it's called sexual assault for a reason. It wasn;t for a hook up, it wasn't for sex. There was an agreement between the two to not do that but somebody broke it, and who do you think that was? And for the mother who's son is HIV positive, go to the doctor talk them, that is all you can do until you get a process started. It's long, it's hard,, and it will practically kill him inside,look at me.

My teenage son just tested positive for hiv and just told me he was 15/16 and the other was a man not a boy like him self. what do i do??????????????? All I want to do is cry but I have to quit that and be there for my son..

This is a sad case either way you look at it, condoms have been available for years, why don't people use them more? This guy has a terrible disease and who knows how he contracted it, he may or may not have had a choice in that matter, he did however, have a choice in needlessly choosing to put this 16 year-old's life at risk. That was irresponsible on so many levels. I agree with 'stdslove from ny' in that we need more education about protecting ourselves from STDs. Look at the number of unplanned teenage pregnancies, and the steady or increasing STD figures, they are a direct result of kids choosing not to use condoms. Sure in an ideal world kids would not be having sex at all but humans don't live in that world. Every unmarried but sexually active person, male or female, regardless of sexual orientation, should carry condoms (more than one in case one fails or is damaged). Do schools make these available? If not then they should; Put them in the nurse's office.

@ Debbie... because a young 16 year old kid made a bad choice he should be brutally sexually assaulted and then have his life threatened by a disease. Get real. If kids were ready for the real world, we'd be kicking them out at 12 and telling them to get a job. Stop holding the VICTIM and a CHILD responsible for what a CHILD PREDATOR did to him. Its judgemental people like you who prevent victims from coming forward. I think it took courage and strength for him to tell someone and seek help.

did you ever stop to think that the kid may have been scared and not known what to do! maybe he thought it would just be safer to go along with everything, it wasnt even until afterwards that he found out the guy maybe HIV . he didnt know what the guy would of done if he had resisted, he could of been killed or beaten or anything. the man didnt even tell him that he even may be HIV positive, that is attemped murder and thats what the s.o.b. should get reguardless. he shouldnt get any kind of special treatment just because he is. forget his feelings and the fact that he may get rejected all the time. he may of just ruined a 16 year olds life. it is a responsibility to try to protect yourself against STDs but its also a major responsibilty to tell someone about it if your about to have anykind of sexual activity. the man should rot in jail on attempted murder. case closed

For all of you who want him to be charged with Attempted Murder, that would be a 2nd degree felony. He is currently charged with a 2nd degree felony-which would be easier to prove? Read the Texas statute people.

Let's see, people have called him and others that are HIV Positive, "Dirty","Sicko's", "Danger", and also said, "let him rot in jail", "let Bubba take care of him", etc. I have a question for all who post on this story, "Do you know anyone who's HIV positive?, if so, have you treated them differently once they told you? Would you date a person who is? Would you let your brother, sister, son, daughter, father or mother date someone who is? Would you befriend someone who's positive? Let them come to your home, eat with you or just visit? I'm in no way condoning the guy's actions nor the kid that went home with him, knowing there's always risk involved in this act, you can get plenty of other things besides HIV. Before you cast this guy to the lions, think about his feelings, i'm sure the guy has been rejected by all, what he did wasn't right, but speaking so horriable about him and this "chronic disease" as the CDC calls it, it's no wonder no one will disclose their status!

It is illegal not to tell someone you are Positive and then have sex with them whether protected or not. There is no way that anyone condones this man's actions. I only hope that this teen has not contracted the virus, but only time will tell. At the moment, his life is ruined.
