GATESVILLE (November 16, 2009)—Michael Ward, 19, and Forrest Ingram, 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of burglaries in the Bluestem and Sunset Estates subdivisions just north of Copperas Cove, Coryell County Sheriff Johnny Burks said Monday.
Deputies arrested the two teenagers on Friday, Burks said.
Ward was charged with one count of burglary of a habitation, one count of burglary of a building and one count of burglary of a motor vehicle, Burks said.
Ingram was charged with one count of burglary of a habitation.
The two teenagers, who live in the Bluestem Estates subdivision, were free on bond Monday, Burks said.
The teenagers were arrested after deputies investigated a report that a vehicle had run over a mailbox in the area and tracked the vehicle back to one of the teenagers, Burks said.
During the course of the investigation, items stolen in the burglaries were recovered, Burks said, including a knife collection, a .12-gauge shotgun, a pellet gun, fishing equipment and a GPS device.
Total value of the stolen items was about $3,400, Burks said.
The arrests cleared three burglaries in the Bluestem, Sunset Estate area and it is believed that the two are responsible for more burglaries in that area. Pending further investigation more charges are expected.
More charges are possible as the investigation continues, Burks said.

the problem with them joining the military is that the charges they are facing are all felonies, the military will not be able to take them if convicted

I am soooo glad they caught these two hoodlums! We have too many young people wandering the streets out here at night! I think the parents need to pay a little more attention to where their kids are! I remember the commercials that I heard while growing up: It's 10 o'clock, do YOU know where your children are? I think people need to wake up and take a closer look at where and what their children are up to! We constantly have young teen boys riding 4 wheelers on the streets as well as dirt bikes-none of which are street legal. Where are the Coryell County Deputies when this goes on? The parents of these boys obviously know their kids are riding in the streets, and I'm sure the parents ALSO know that it is ILLEGAL for these off road vehicles to be on the streets! One some responsible person is going to hit these boys and guess who's fault it will be? The teens because their 4 wheelers DO NOT BELONG on legal roadways! Anyways, just glad the hoodlums got caught out here!
