Body Of Fort Hood Shooting Victim Returned Home
The body of a victim of the Fort Hood shooting rampage arrived home in Chicago Monday.

CHICAGO (November 16, 2009)--The body of a 21-year-old Illinois soldier who was killed in the Nov. 5 shooting rampage at Fort Hood was back in her hometown of Chicago Monday.

The body of Pvt. Francheska Velez arrived Monday morning at Midway International Airport.

A patriot guard was formed to escort a procession past her alma mater Kelvyn Park High School.

Velez was one of 13 people killed on Nov. 5 at Fort Hood.

She had recently returned from deployment in Iraq because she was pregnant.

Visitation for Velez is scheduled for Wednesday at Montclair Lucania Funeral Home.

Funeral services are Thursday followed by burial at Mount Olive Cemetery.

Another Illinois soldier killed at Fort Hood, Pfc. Michael Pearson, 22, of Bolingbrook, was buried Saturday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
