Death Of Second Fort Hood Soldier Under Investigation
The death of a 4th Combat Aviation Brigade sergeant in Louisiana is under investigation, Fort Hood said Wednesday.

FORT HOOD (March 17, 2010)—Sgt. Irvin Albert Mitchell Jr., 25, of Picayune, Miss., died Tuesday in Mandeville, La., Fort Hood said Wednesday, and the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
On Tuesday, Fort Hood announced the death of 1st Cavalry Division Spc. Erik Georgevega, 30, of Austin, Sunday in San Antonio and said his death was under investigation, as well.
Mitchell joined the Army in January 2005 and had been assigned to the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade’s Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, since November 2005.
He deployed to Iraq from November 2005 through November 2006 and from June 2008 through June 2009, Fort Hood said.
Georgevega joined the Army in May 2004 and was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s Alpha Battery, 5th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team.
