Killeen: Shoppers head back to the mall in search of bargains

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Shoppers headed back to the mall Tuesday in Killeen in search of post-holiday bargains.

“They take advantage of the sales. That's the biggest thing,” said Mardi Peaster, the Killeen Mall’s senior marketing and specialty leasing manager.

“That's the keyword we seem to be hearing a lot this year and prior years. The sales, the discount and people are shopping for themselves,” Peaster said.

Retailers have slashed prices by 30 to 75 percent in some cases.

Mall officials recommend shoppers visit the websites of the stores they are wanting to shop to see what is discounted and if the items are still in stores or available online.
