KILLEEN,Texas (KWTX) The Department of Justice interviews local clergy, schools and residents to identify Killeen crime trends.
Last December, Killeen police had asked the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs Diagnostic Center for help in fighting crime in the city.
Representatives from that department sat down this week and talked to community and local government leaders about the crime trends.
The data collected will give the Diagnostic Center a better understanding what the main crime issues are concerning the community.
Killeen police announced they reached out to the DOJ after a series of shootings that happened over the course of four days that left two dead and four other injured.
