Interstate construction to shut down all lanes in Temple

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Interstate construction that was delayed as evacuees of Hurricane Harvey passed through Central Texas will resume Wednesday night in Temple.

From 7 p.m. Wednesday through 7: a.m. Thursday Interstate 35 will be closed through Temple.

Work is being done to finish the bridge over the Lampasas crossing for BNSF Railroad.

Drivers headed through Temple will be detoured around the interstate.

Northbound drivers will be forced to take Exit 300 and the Northbound Frontage Road. Drivers can get back on Interstate 35 at Central Avenue.

Drivers in the southbound lanes will have to take Exit 302 and the Southbound Frontage Road. Drivers can get back on Interstate 35 at Bird Creek Shopping Center just before South Loop 363.
