TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Police are looking for a man and a woman after a carjacking Sunday night in the parking lot of the H-E-B store at 1500 West Adams Ave in Temple.

The victim, who was not identified, told officers he drove his sister’s white 2011 Dodge Charger to the store, found a parking place, and spotted the mother of a friend with whom he talked for four or five minutes, a police report says.

He left the vehicle running, but had the keys into his pocket, the report says.

As he returned to the vehicle he was approached by the man and the woman.

The man asked him for a ride as the woman got into the rear right passenger seat.

The man then jumped into the front passenger seat, the report says.

The man, who was armed with a black gun, demanded “everything the caller had,” the report said.

The victim told officers he jumped out of the car and ran toward a nearby Taco Bell from which he called police just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The stolen car was found at around 2:15 a.m. Monday abandoned behind the old H-E-B store in Belton, the report says.
