Her bond was set at $250,000.
Sherin Mathews, 3, was reported missing on Oct. 7.
Her body was found in Oct. 22 in a storm drain north of her family’s home.
Her father, Wesley Mathews, 37, who reported the girl missing, initially told investigators he forced her to stand next to a tree in an alley behind the house as punishment for not drinking her milk.
He later changed his story and said she choked to death on milk and that he got rid of her body in the storm drain not far from their home, police said.
He was arrested and charged with injury to a child.
He remains jailed.
The warrant for his wife was issued after investigators determined that the couple and their biological daughter went out to dinner on the night of Oct. 6, leaving the toddler at home alone, police said Thursday.
The cause of the toddler’s death has not yet been determined.
