COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Two men accused of robbing and assaulting a man in Copperas Cove were in custody Tuesday.

Officers responded to the 900 block of W Ave. B around 8:37 p.m. to a vehicle leaving the city park with its headlights turned off.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed the juvenile driver and two adult passengers had blood on them and in the back seat of their car.

While the officer talked with them, the department received a report of an armed robbery that had recently occured at the park.

The juvenile victim told officers four people assaulted him and held a knife to his throat.

Police say the victim was punched multiple times and was bleeding from his face. He also had small cuts to his neck from a knife.

The victim met the suspects at a convenience store earlier and paid them to give him a ride home.

When he opened his wallet to give them the cash, the suspects noticed the victim had more money and began assaulting him before stealing his money and cell phone.

The juvenile driver was detained and the two adult passengers, identified as Raquan Jones-Lewis and Lance Stennis, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

The fourth suspect, a juvenile, was later detained at a residence in Copperas Cove.
