A couple of weeks ago I got an email about GrapeFest in Grapevine. Thats when I found out about "The Grape Guy." Let me just share with you what I read...

"He is a Guiness World Record holder at speed grape catching! Here is some info on him:
Steve Spalding – aka the “Grape Guy” – is just a regular guy, and resident of Carrollton, that has the unusual talent of being able to catch grapes and other projectiles in his mouth. Discovering this talent and becoming the Guinness World Record holder came about by accident. Steve is the Guinness World Record holder for “speed catching” grapes – 55 grapes in one minute from 15 feet. Steve didn't stop there, accumulating several other personal records with his freakish talent: He has caught a grape thrown by hand – 177 feet; He has caught a grape shot by a slingshot – 267 feet; He has caught a grape dropped from the 22nd floor of the Sahara hotel in Las Vegas for the longest outdoor catch; He has caught a grape dropped from the 15th floor of the World Trade Center in Dallas for the longest indoor catch and; He has caught 1,189 grapes in 30 min. from 15 feet away. Spalding has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to show off his talent!"
