R. Kelly Trial Begins Friday Save Email Print

(May 8, 2008)--R. Kelly's trial on child pornography charges is scheduled to begin Friday, but there’s still a chance of another delay in a process that’s been underway for six years since he was first charged.

Defense attorneys have filed a motion seeking to postpone the trial yet again.

The judge is expected to rule on that delay Friday.

The reasons for the motion seeking a delay are being kept secret.

In the case, prosecutors accuse R. Kelly of videotaping himself having sex with a girl who prosecutors say was as young as 13 at the time.

I don't believe that R. Kelly is a child molester or a pervert.What I do know is that R. is the all time King of R&B, the piper...he can make a hit by singing about anything. Every record is a hit..A MUSICAL Genius. After 6 years the case should just be thrown out of court. I think if there was enough evidence to prosecute he would have been convicted a long time ago.
