Actor In Upcoming Harry Potter Movie Killed In Fight Save Email Print

LONDON (AP) - A British teenage actor playing a minor role in the upcoming "Harry Potter" film was stabbed to death during a brawl in London on Saturday, police said.

Rob Knox, 18, was stabbed after he got caught up in a fight outside a bar in southwest London early Saturday, London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Knox played Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the upcoming film "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," the sixth installment of the popular series set for release in November.

Warner Bros., the studio that is producing the film, said it was shocked by the news.

Knox was one of five young men taken to various hospitals after the brawl, police said.

Among them was a 21-year-old who has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The fight did not appear to be gang-related, police added, but it puts the number of violent teenage deaths in London at 14 so far this year.

Wyatt, why don't you perform a Google Search or read The Armed Citizen in America's First Freedom and find out how many crimes have been prevented due to the presence of a firearm. There is also a book called "Guns and Violence The English Experience" that you might enjoy. You are a knee jerk moron. Grow a brain and quit accusing people of not being patriots because they are more educated on gun laws and gun control issues.

patriot do you comprehend anything that you read? Who said that people cant be killed by a knife? No where in that post does it say the government should suppress anyone's right to defend themselves! Personally i think all should be packing heat! You have got to be the biggest knee-jerk moron that posts on these threads! If you are an example of what patriots are, its no wonder things are as bad as they are! Anyway this particular kid went out partying and gotinvolved in a brawl which he could made the choice to walk(run) away from! Also if guns had been involved in this brawl, innocent people not involved in it could have been injured/killed as well!

Oh, and to knife slinging Wyatt Earp, when any government suppresses it's people the right to defend themselves, the crime rate goes up. Duh! You are 6x more likely to get mugged in the streets of London than you are in NY City. You can end up dead with a knife too idiot!

Britons have NEVER been able to own their own guns?? LOL How did Royal Charlie enjoy his fox hunting all these years until 2005? The British Gov DID start a series of public weapon bans in the 20th century with the very first restriction for "carrying for protection" being passed in 1953.

Anonymous you are an idiot the British Gov did not take away the guns from the public in England they have never been able to own them even the police dont carry guns

Posted by: LOL on May 27, 2008 at 07:49 AM
Guess he should have used his magic and made the knife dissapear.

Posted by: wyatt earp Location: texas on May 26, 2008 at 05:21 AM
lol anonymous.... then he would have a gun and the person that killed him would have a gun and someone would still end up dead! yeah thats much better! hmm you CAN run away from a knife but a bullet is a little harder to outrun especially if the person's a good shot! Guess if you're with someone though, you only have to out run them!

Maybe if the British Government had not taken firearms away from their citizens this could have been avoided. What a sad event. God Bless the family and friends of Rob Knox.
